Help answer these questions.

1. Why would the church need a creed book when God says the Bible is complete?

II TIMOTHY 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

2. Why would the church need doctrines and traditions not found in the Bible when Jesus condemned such things?

MARK 7:6-9 "In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men. All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition."

3. What are we saying to God if we hold men’s writings beside or in place of the Bible when we are told not to?

GALATIANS 1:7-8 "If we, or an angel from heaven, preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached, let him be accursed."

ROMANS 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for IT is the power of God to salvation…"
