WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

Can I be just a Christian?

Since the name "Christian" never has a denominational church name or its human founder attached to it in the Bible, shouldn’t I be just a "Christian" today? What does the Bible say?

I Corinthians 1:10-13 "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren,…that there are contentions among you. Now I say this, that each one of you says, ‘I am of Paul’ or ‘I am of Apollos’ or ‘I am of Cephas’ or ‘I am of Christ’. Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?"

Acts 11:26 "So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch."

Acts 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

If you are interested in pure Christianity, without man-made creeds or promotional schemes; we invite you to bring your family and your Bible to the Colonial church of Christ.
